The Play is Unbearable Hotness
By Gabriel Davis
The first monologue is from “Pretty Little Liars: The Original Sin”. The lines were from Bailee Madison, who plays Imogen Adams in the show. The context from the scene is that her mother “abandoned” her and now the character have to deal with all the things the mom left behind, and tired of it, Imogen breaks down in a conversation with her mother. The second monologue is from “Modern Family”. The lines were from Haley Dunphy played by Sarah Hyland. The context from the scene is that the character is a minor that went to have a conversation like in a court, after accidentally injuring an officer, the funny part is that when confessing, the character starts saying stupid things that he think are wrong like missing classes and dating TAs. Then acts super serious to say silly things and try to break the ice screaming “go wildcats”. But is not even the school’s mascots name.
To mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, we asked leading actors to perform key speeches from his plays. Here, Damian Lewis performs Antony’s lines from Act III, Scene 2 of Julius Caesar. Antony has been granted permission to speak at Caesar’s funeral so long as he does not implicate the conspirators in his death, but he skilfully turns the crowd against them.

To mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, we asked leading actors to perform key speeches from his plays.
